What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in the visitor's browser when they visit it. It is used to remember preferences, keep sessions active, measure use of the site or personalize content. Similar technologies —such as local storage, session storage, pixels or advertising identifiers— serve equivalent functions and are covered in this policy under the same framework.
How we use them on this site
The arconlabs.io site uses analytics and marketing cookies and similar technologies, only after the visitor expressly accepts them. It also loads a cookieless visit counter (Vercel Web Analytics), which does not store visitor identifiers and therefore does not go through the consent notice; it is described in the table in section 04.
Regardless of your choice, the site always loads the technical resources it needs to work (hosting, typefaces, video) from the providers listed in section 04. These resources do not install Arcon Labs tracking cookies, but they do involve a connection from the browser to those third parties.
Types of cookies and similar technologies
| Type | Purpose | Current status on the site |
|---|---|---|
| Technical / essential | Allow the site to work: content server, security, abuse prevention. | Active (managed by Vercel). They do not require consent. |
| Preferences | Remember user choices (language, display settings). | Active: a single local storage record of your answer to the cookie notice. It does not identify the visitor. |
| Analytics | Measure aggregate use of the site (visits, pages, behavior). | Google Analytics 4. Only if you accept. Also, a cookieless visit counter (Vercel Web Analytics) that is always loaded; see section 04. |
| Marketing / advertising | Show personalized advertising or measure advertising conversions. | Meta pixel. Only if you accept. It makes it possible to measure campaigns and show advertising to people who have already visited the site. |
Third-party services present on the site
The site loads resources from third-party domains that, through their own operation, may record technical information about the visitor (IP, user agent, referer). The last two in the table are only loaded if you accept the cookie notice; those marked on clicking are only loaded if you activate them; the rest are loaded with the page. These third parties are:
| Provider | Resource loaded | Data the provider may record |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting, CDN, site security. | IP, user agent, request logs (essential operational function). |
| Vercel Web Analytics (visit counter) | Counts visits and page views in aggregate. It is loaded with the page, without cookies or persistent identifiers: the visitor is distinguished by a hash that is discarded after 24 hours. It is not loaded on the purchase confirmation page. | URL visited (including its parameters), referring page, date and time, approximate country and city, device type, browser and operating system. The IP is used to calculate the hash and the approximate location, but is not stored with the visit. |
| Google Fonts | Outfit, DM Sans, JetBrains Mono and Fraunces typefaces. | IP and user agent when requesting the fonts. |
| Amazon CloudFront | Background video of the main section. | IP and user agent when playing the video. |
| Google Calendar (on clicking "Book a call") | Loads the Google page to book the meeting. | Data the visitor enters in the Google form (governed by Google's policy). |
| WhatsApp (on clicking "WhatsApp") | Opens WhatsApp Web or the installed app. | User data in WhatsApp (governed by Meta's policy). |
| YouTube (course invitation video) | Plays the invitation video. It is loaded with the page and starts automatically without sound. The youtube-nocookie.com domain is used, which does not store your activity for advertising unless you play the video. |
IP, user agent and playback data; Google identifiers if you are signed in to their services. |
| Google Analytics 4 — only with consent | Measurement of aggregate use of the site. | IP (truncated), user agent, page views, device identifier generated by the tool. |
| Meta (Facebook pixel) — only with consent | Measurement of advertising campaigns and creation of audiences for retargeting. | IP, user agent, page views, Meta identifiers if the visitor is signed in to their platforms. |
Each of these services maintains its own privacy and cookie policy. We recommend reviewing them if you wish to understand in detail what data they process: Vercel, Google, AWS, WhatsApp, Meta.
